Sommer in Salamanca (24.5.98)

Dear friends,

during the Coimbra Group General Assembly in Salamanca (12-17 May 1998)
we got more information about a Summer School that will be organized in
Salamanca from 6-17 July 1998. The aim of this Summer School is to
invite one student of each Coimbra Group University, with the
possibility of having more students from one university when not all
places are taken. We would appreciate it very much if you could promote
this Summer School at your home university and help us to find motivated
candidates.

There will be 3 hours of class a day, of which 2 will be dedicated to
the Spanish language and 1 to the Spanish culture. Several language
levels will be organized. The language courses are organized by the
language institute of the University. During the weekend, two
excursions of one day each will be offered.

The students will be hosted in university residences. They will have
free access to all sports' facilities and a medical insurance will be
provided. At the end of the courses, every student will receive a
certificate.

The participation fee will be between 25 000 and 30 000 pesetas (which
is between 150 and 200 euros), travel costs not included. More precise
information concerning the financial aspect will be given later.

Interested students have to send the application form to Mr. Delgado,
Vice-Rector of the University of Salamanca BEFORE 20JUNE 1998. They
have to include a letter of motivation, their study results and
eventually a document that proofs a certain level in Spanish. The
University of Salamanca will then inform the students that have been
accepted and send more detailed information. Students who could really
benefit by Spanish language courses will be given preference to those
who are already fluent.

Thanks for your co-operation !
